....But I digress.
I like a good hammer, myself.
Ooof. Kick a man when he's down.
Geez, Jolene. He just announced that his cancer has returned.
Eh, I'm with Jo. I'm sorry he has cancer, but he's still a complete tool.
My comic timing SUCKS. I did not know his cancer had returned when I posted this, only that he once again defended the Bush administration, laughing at the House Judiciary subcommittee's desire to have Rove and other scum testify publicly and under oath rather than privately and off-the-record."White House spokesman Tony Snow said that in offering aides to talk to the committees privately, Bush had sought to avoid the "media spectacle" that would result from public hearings with Rove and others at the witness table."
I figured you'd missed the news about his condition. It could have been worse, though. You could have inadvertantly claimed that Snow was a "cancer on the White House" or somesuch. Yo'll note that hard-hearted Shannon knew about Snow's cancer and still defended kicking him while he's down.
I'll admit if I'd known about Snow's cancer returning, I wouldn't have posted this. It's poor taste, unladylike, etc. I'm not Charles Karel Bouley. But my opinion of the man hasn't changed. He's gonna keep defending the White House's absurd decrees and belittling justice, truth, and due process; I'm gonna keep thinking he's a tool. It's what we do.
I'm only kinda hard-hearted. I hope Snow beats his cancer and it never returns. Almost no one deserves cancer and I hope he kicks cancer's butt! That said, I don't think getting sick is redemptive. If you're a lying jerk before you get cancer, you'll likely be a lying jerk after, too. I feel compassion for his condition (if I could help him, I would) - but his personality just makes me angry. Cancer doesn't change that.
