Countdown to Apple Announcement!

14 minutes until they announce their new iPods!! If it's the same as the iPhone, complete with wireless but sans phone, I'm gonna be sore tempted!

Time to be tempted. The iPod Touch is exactly what you said you wanted.

Yeah, the iPod Touch looks pretty nice. I'd want to play with one before buying, though...

Boy, and those poor iPhone people - stuck with half the memory space of the Touch. Go early adopters!!!

Geez, and considering it automatically senses Starbucks, if the thing came in orange it would be THE BEST THING EVER!

are you gonna do it? 16GB may be too small for me. Nancy called it "barbaric" to have so little.

I will say this - being the owner of a Nano, and having gone from a 40 GB iPod before that...the size is no big deal depending upon what you use the iPod for.

I have found that through the judicious use of Smart Playlists, I have no problem living with the small size of the Nano - I don't need all of my music at any given time, considering I mostly just listen to it on the train to and from work.

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't been this excited about a gizmo since, uh, since Clocky. Times that by how excited I was over PlayStation 2, then times that by about a bazillion!

I wouldn't need a whole lotta space - 16 g would be more than enough! I'd keep all my music on my regular iPod, and just use it for video and SURFIN' THE NET! SOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!

As far as orange - I could just get one of these for to make it ORANGE!!

For more information on how I use Smart Playlists with my Nano, see this link. Or consult your local library.

I see I have a serious, serious choice here ahead of me - Upgrade my current iPod to an 80 G (current out-of-control podcast addiction) or get this iPod - oh give me a break! I can't listen to podcasts when I'm blogging from my iPod! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA SOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

What size is your currently filled-with-podcasts iPod?

And why do you need so many copies of your podcasts on your iPod all the time? Don't you just need the most recent unheard one at any given time?

OrangeMoJoJo said...

Fabulous, Stratton!! Thank you!

So, uh, how did you put that link in there using html? Maybe I'm not technically worthy of a wifi iPod! I can't even figure out how to put a link in my comments!

my current iPod is a 20g. I'll admit, I'll download the whole STRING of podcasts if the topic looks interesting, then delete the whole string if it ends up being the suck. There are, uh, about maybe like 560 or so on my iPod now. Heh heh. Hrm.

Jo, use the magic href tag.

For more information, the Library of Congress recommends this webpage.

Matt Stratton said...

Why don't you download all the podcasts to your iTunes, but only sync the most recent unheard one to the iPod itself?

OrangeMoJoJo said...

I download all the backdated podcasts, then feel very accomplished when I've caught up and only have the most recent one on my iPod.

that's happened...twice!

Out of like 30+ podcasts.

Matt Stratton said...

Right. But what I'm saying is...download all the backdated ones to iTunes, but only put the one you want to listen to on the iPod. Although I'm not sure you can say "the OLDEST unheard", but only the NEWEST unheard. Which is backwards of what you want. Although I guess you could do it manually.

OrangeMoJoJo said...

oh YEAH! That makes sense. But so much more time consuming than waiting, uh, 7 hours or so for my iPod to sync...

You may have something there.

I know how to html a TAG! Thanks, Matt!
